Organic Farm
Anuragam originated as an attempt to find ones earthy moorings at
the culmination of a period of inner search, replete with inner
struggles and wanderings. It was also a phase of dwelling on the
teachings of J.Krishnamurti, Ramana Maharshi, and Ramakrishna.
Anuragam as an organic farm has been evolving into sustainability
for nearly a decades now. We have various crops like paddy,
vegetables, groundnut, sesame, coconut, mangos, gooseberry etc.
We grow chembavu rice, a near extinct traditional variety and
among our mangoes are Sindoor, Alphonse, Kalappadi, Benganappalli,
Neelam & Apose. |

Retreat centre
Sradha is a retreat centre located in Muthalamada near Chulliar
Dam in the Palakkad District of Kerala. The centre is set in the
ambience of our organic farm, Anuragam at the base of the
Nelliampathy hills falling along the southern edge of the Palakkad
gap.
Sradha as a centre shares the inner search and the outer
expression as an ebb and tide of the same flow. A place for
silence, inner exploration and physical work. A place where you
live in communion with the ecology of the hilly terrain, organic
farming, nature cure, spirituality and yourself. |

Facilities&Activities
Accommodation is limited to two persons at a time. There are two bed
rooms bath attached with separate sit outs. The building incorporates
traditional craft elements. Toxin free food & herbal drinks, mostly
produced in our farm will be served here.
A small library with books on J. Krishnamurti,
Ramana Maharshi, organic farming, Carlos Castaneda Nature cure &
Energy healing is provided. Some discourses of J. Krishnamurti are
available on CD's and audio cassettes.
The farm, the surroundings hills and the small waterfalls close by
will not disappoint the nature lover. For children at the risk of
being carried away from earth and it inmates - trees, animals, hills,
rivers and human beings - through modern education and attitudes,
Sradha might act as a speed - breaker.
Sradha look forward to accommodate children as part of non formal
learning. We conduct study retreats on J. Krishnamurti teachings.

This beautiful place is now offered for people
interested in contemplation and organic farming to experience and
learn. There is a cottage surrounded by wilderness where one can stay
peacefully away from the maddening crowd. This is accompanied by a
delicious, indigenous home made food. Any one interested in learning
organic farming and also have a healthy attitude towards the natural
world may visit the farm. Drinking alcohol and other such "fun"
activities are strictly prohibited. We prefer those who are willing to
live in modesty. A one day stay at the farm will
cost about Rs.300 for a single person and Rs.500, if two people would
be sharing the cottage. For foreigners it is Rs.750 per person and
Rs.1250 for two people [The cost also includes food which is organic
and prepared in a traditional manner]. For children below 10 years of
age the food and accommodation is free. For those
